The Information of Ann Hilton< no role > taken on Oath this 3d day
of January 1789 before me one of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex .

Who on her Oath Saith that she is a Widow and lives in Silver Street
near Fleet street London and that on Monday the twenty Ninth day of
December last She having Occasion to go out she fastned her Window
Shutters and Windows and Locked her Room door and then further
fastne'd it by puting a Padlock on the outside and then went out
it being between two and three o'Clock in the Afternoon to see a
Familey she worked for in Dean Street Soho wether they was come
to town and she then went from there to Southampton street in
the Strand and Stayed to tea with a friend and then Returned home
to her Appartments between Seven and Eight O Clock at Night when
she Come home She was Informed by one of the Lodgers that She Was
afraid all was not well and Informant that went along the Entry and
Perceived her door Open and the padlock hanging on the Staple she
with two of the Lodgers went into her Appartments and their found
her Drawers Striped of Wearing Apparel and a Bolster Blanket and two Street and two
Pillows taken of the Bed and a Footman tongs and Shovel and
other things belonging to her and her Son taking away and one Shirt
two Waistcoats one pair of Breaches one Coat one Hat and two
Lawn Handkerchief now Produced by the Officers is the Property of
her Son William Hilton< no role > and one Printed Cotton Gown one Muslin
Apron one Muslin Handkerchief one Pair of Sheets one Silk Cloake
one Lawn Handkerchief [..] one Bolster and one
Iron Footman is the Property of this Informant an all the above
Mentioned Goods is part of the game that was Stolen out of her Appartments as aforesaid
