ditto Shipwright and John Cheeseman< no role > one of the Watchman
of Saint Paul Shudwell Taken this First day of July
1789 before me one of his Majestys Justices of the peace in and
for the said County.

Who being on their Oaths severally Say and first the said John Stanford< no role >
for himself Saith that either on Friday night or Saturday morning last
there was Stolen in the Deal Warehouse of Peter Mestaer< no role > Esqr. At Shadwell
Dock a Hand Saw his property. and that the Hand Saw now produced
and Deposed by Informant John Cheeseman< no role > to have been found in the Possession
of the person present who Says his Name is Jacob Brudley is his property
and the said William Welch< no role > for himself Saith that the Hand Saw Iron
Adz and Chizzell now produced and Deposed by Informant Cheeseman sd
have been found in the Possession of the said Jacob Brudley< no role > are his property
and were Stolen out of his Chest in the Deal Ware house of Peter Mestaer< no role >
Esquire abovementioned either on Friday night or Saturday morning last
And the said John Cheeseman< no role > for himself Saith that about three O Clock
on Saturday morning last. he Stopped the abovenamed Jacob Bradley< no role >
near Shudwell Dock having in his Possession the two Saws Adz and Chizzell
produced and deposed to by the above Informants (together with Sundry
other Tools and claimed) to be their propirty, That having seen said
Brudley in Mr. Mestaers yard above half an hour before he Apprehendes
him on Suspicion that he had Stolen the property therefrom

The said Jacob Brudley< no role > Saith that he found the Tools abovementioned
on the outside of Mr Mestaers Gate< no role > on Saturday Morning last their
he was going to takes them on Board a Ship at Limehouse but was
prevented and Stopped by the Watchman
