Middlesex to Wit


The Information of William Cundell< no role > Shopman
to John Percival< no role > of Bond Street Linen Draper
taken before me this 27th. day of Febry 1788.

Who being upon Oath saith that yesterday afternoon
about four oClock the two Prisoners calling themselves
Ann Wheeler< no role > and Elizabeth Barnesley< no role > came into the said
Mr. Percivals Shop [..] together when said Barnesly
said that she wanted to See some of the Same Muslins
she had had last WeekThat he shewed them some Muslins
when said Barnesley taking hold of a Remnant said
this is the fort but there is not enough of itThat he
then shewed her a greater Quantity, when she bought
four Yards all but one Nail amounting to thirty five
shillingsThat she then gave him a Ten Pound Note in
payment for said Muslin observing at the same time that
she wanted some Irish of the same Kind that she had
had last Week at 4s..3d a Yard and that a little Gentleman
belonging to the Shop would know the [..] fort she had
hadThat he then went to the front Shop intending to ask
his fellow Shopman the sort ofMuslinIrish said Barnesly
metmeantThat he met Mr. Percival in the front Shop
whom he requested to go and attend said Barnesley and
WheelerThat uponhisEnquiry of his fellow Shopman as to
the sent of Irish said Barnesley meant and he not recollecting
the Circumstance hetookreturned with a Remnant of Irish to said
