with a Small brass Padlock and which this Informant broke open
there were found ina Small bag inthe drawer a piece of Leather a
quantity of Scowering Paper two pieces of Cork a Pair of
Knippers and several other Articles as also. Two hundred
and fourSix pencesCounterfeit Six pences One hundred and
Forty eight Counterfeit Shillings & Three Counterfeit half Crowns
all which were finished and three Counterfeit Shillings Unfinished
The said Elizabeth Bennett< no role > was Present during the Search and
upon the Coin aforementioned being found she said that She
was Innocent and that she hoped Thomas Pearce< no role > would
be taken and Hanged and told where he might betaken
Apprehended. The said Elizabeth Bennett< no role > was left in the
Care of the said John Dinmore< no role > whilst [..] .Thomas Isaac< no role > and
this Informant went in Search of the said Thomas Pearce< no role >
and they Apprehended him in the Orange Tree Public House
Fleet Lane and brought him before Wm. Blackborow< no role > Esqr. the
Magestrate where this Informant and John Dinmore< no role > Searched
him And this Informant found upon him a blacking bag
Thirty eight Shillings and fourteen Six Pences all false and
Counterfeit and finished as also two Shillings [..] and
two Six pences that were broken This Informant also saw the
said John Dinmore< no role > find upon him another quantity of false &
Counterfeit Shillings & Six pences And this Informant further
on his Oath saith that he also found upon the said Thos. Pearce the Key
of the brass Padlock which was upon the Table Drawer aforementd.
And that the said Thomas Pearce< no role > never would give an Answer to
any Questions that was asked him whatever.
