the Peace
in and for the said County this 23rd. day
of February 1788.
Who on his Oath saith that on Saturday the 16th. day of
February Instant at about the hour of Seven of the Clock in
the morning He saw one Samuel Crafts< no role >
in Cow Cross
Street
near Red lyon Alley
Driving a Small black Heiffer
This Informant knowing him Asked him where he was
going to take the Heiffer The said Samuel Crafts< no role >
Answered that he was taking it to Mr Munday's
Slaughter house This Informant also asked him
from when he brought it He then said from the
Rear and Ragged Staff in Smithfield
and that it
belonged to Mr. Swan of Thames Street
