Middlesex to wit


The Informations of Thomas Slack< no role > of
James Street< no role > Cooent Gardon Linen Draper
and Joseph Slack< no role > of the same place Linen
Draper taken before me this 21st. day of January
1788.

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said
Thomas Slack< no role > for himself says that about five o Clock
in the Afternoon of Friday the eighteenth day January
Instant the Person now present who calls herself Philb [..]
Williams came to this Informant Shop and asked
to see a Rennant of Cotton that Informant shewed
her a Remnant of Cotton which she bought that this
Informant told his Brother the said Joseph Slack< no role > that
he suspected said Williams had Stolen Something
And the said Joseph Slack< no role > for himself says that
being informed by the said Thomas Slack< no role > that he
Suspected that said Williams had Stolen something
he took hold of said Williams and desired her to lay
down what she had stolen at which time the piece of
Cotton now produced dropt from under her petticoats
And this Informant further says that the said piece
of Cotton is the property of this Informant and the said
Thomas Slack< no role >
