The information of John Narbery< no role > Lodger at Virgine in a Planter
in High Street in the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the said County
Taken this Eleventh day of March 1788 before us two of his Majesty's Justices of
the peace in and for the said County the said

John [..] Narbery< no role > on his Oath saith on Wednesday the 5th of March Instant
he went into a house known by the son of the Barley now new Gravel Lane Shadwell
had some Porter That Sarah King< no role > and Ann Fox< no role > came and drink with him and
about the Hour of Two or Three in the Afternooon the went out and they followed
him to a house down some Steps near saying they had a nice fire says he went
into a Room with them and he believes Mary Douglas< no role > was there at which time he
is certain he had Thirty nine Guineas the Chief of Which were George the first a few of
Queen Arm some of George the Second most of them light and four of five of them were of
the present King in a Nutmeg Grater different from the Grater produced. That he set
by the fire had Three six penny worth of Gin and wanted to go to his Lodging near St. Giles
where he had laged the night before That Sarah king< no role > and Ann Fox< no role > per waded him to stay
saying there was a good Bed for him says being much Tired walking about he went to
bed before dark pulling off his Cloaths and put his Breeches in which was said Grater and
all the said Guineas under his Pillow. That Sarah King< no role > came to bed to him with her Cloths in [..]
Ann Fox< no role > going out of the room. says Ann Fox< no role > returned soon with a Chamber pot
and was backward and forward several times in the said Room That the missed his
Bed fellow soon after and is certain that no other person came into the Room after [..]
king and Fox went out of the Room until he had missed his Money he not Suspecting them
but from their not coming about the hour of Two in the Morning he searched his Breeches
missed the said Grater and his Mony and a Shirt which was in his Coat pocket wrapped up
in and Old Handkerchief which lay behind the Bed. Says he has not a Doubt the Guineas
produced are part of the Guineas which he has been robbed off as aforesaid. And that Sarah
King
< no role > robbed him and that Ann Fox< no role > was concerned with her in the said Robbery

Sarah King< no role > says that Ann Fox< no role > and several Girls drinked with John Narbury< no role > in the Barley
now before she and Fox went with him to her lodging Room says she left Narbury and Fox alone
in the said Room cannot say how long that she did Return had the Gin by the fire side as he has said
That Narbury paid her a Shilling for the Bed some time in the afternoon and went to bed says she only set
down on the Bed side refusing to go to Bed to him unless he paid her before hand which he refused
saying he had no more mony being a poor man just came out of the Country there not being any work
there an says the Shift Shirts Gown Body Wings Stockings produced an her property and body
by her when and where she cannot till

afternoon where they had some Gin That she was not in the Room when Sarah King< no role > and John Narbury< no role > went to
bed nor was she in the said Room afterward says the Large pair of Slippers produced [..] were bought
be a Young man who gave them to her That she knows nothing of the Mony Narbury was robbed off that
she never was with Sarah King< no role > afterward any where at any time until she was apprehended at nor with
Elizabeth Eleanor Willis< no role > Excepting going to her Aunts to see her piece go to Graversed where said Aunt lives the do that
