on Oath says last night about the hour of Eleven as she was crossing Fawdon field
in the said Parish Five Young Men The Prisoner present who says his Name is

assaulted her and demanded her mong That she begged them
to Spare her life and she would give them all she had Says she is Certain
The said John Marshall< no role >
was One of them. That he throwed her down to take
from her what she had and that he took a Clasp knife out of his Pocket
and drawed the same a Crop her Throat and therewith made the Mark
which now Appears, That he took her Cloak from off her Shoulder
and men away with the same on her [..] Son aged six Years and her
Apprentice aged Fourteen Years Screeming out Murder
