The Information of Richd Payne< no role > taken be
fore me [..] 24th Day of April 1786

Who being upon Oath Says that on Mon
day Night last between the Hours of Seven & Eight
O Clock in the Evening this Infort saw Four
Men in Black Dog alley St Johns Westr that the Man now pre
sent that calls himself James Bartlett< no role > was
one of the said Four Men that sd Bartlett was
helping one of the said four men on this Wall
that this sd. James Bartlett< no role > was then on the Wall
that this Infort. a sh'd them what they were doing
upon the Wall that sd Bartlett replyd Dam
you do you think we want to Eat Your Wall
that the sd James Batlett< no role > with sd. Three Men
abused this Infort very much a then fall upon
this Infort. and leat him that this Infort cried
out that three of the sd men ran away and
took this Infort Hatt with them that this Infort
seizd the sd. James Bartlett< no role > & held him fast that
their was no Person near and that the said James
Bartlett< no role > was never ought of Sight
