This Deponent and a Man Servant of the said John Mead< no role >
went into the Road and at a Small distance from the
House saw the deceased laying in the House Road
endeavoring to raise himself up and in doing to fell
down again just before this Deponent and his Companion
came up and when they did they lifted him up and
brought him to the said John Meads< no role > Stable where they
laid him down upon some clean Straw and left him
but during the whole time he said not speak a Word
although he looked at this Deponent as if he wished to
speak

John Perridge< no role > of Colbrook Singeon on his Oath Saith
That on Tuesday the twenty eighth day of February now last
The Constable of HammondSworth came to this Deponent
to request him to come and look at the deceased which
he did Shortly Afterwards at the Workhouse where the
deceased lay and upon examining his Body found
his upper lip bruised and a wound on theinstead [..]
but whether it was caused by ablow or a fall cannot
say and also found the face [..] scratched and
a good deal grazed as if by Gravel and also observed
both his hips so chafed or galled by the Waist band of
a pair of Francers which he were having no Shirt on that
they were quiteabout Straw and also found a bruise on the
inside of the Right Thigh as if by a Shick but is of
Opinion that nome of the before mentioned injuries were
the Cause of his Death but is also of opinion that the
deceased had recaused some ill usage which to gether
with great Fategive the in elemanry of the weather
