Death of a Man Unknownthen and there
lying Dead as follow.

upon his Oath Saith That on Sunday
last the twenty sixth day of February last past he was on
his Return from Cole brook
about four in the Afternoon
to the Magpye
aforesaid where he is quartened and
observed several Men who appeared to be a Recruiting Party for the East India Company going before him and [..] Saw
one of the Men strike another (whom this Examinant since knows to
have been the de [..] ed) several times with a Stick & who appeared
to this Deponentsupposed wereto be in Liquor as he Waltred
very ill and when this Deponent returned to his
Quarters aforesaid he was told by his Conrade that a
Man had been tumbling about the Read drunk and
was then in one of the Stables belonging to the said John Mead< no role >
and Saith that between Sevan and eight o Clock on
Monday Morning he was told the said Man who is
the deceased was dead.
