No 72 New Gravel Lane Mariner Saith That
the deceased hath Ledged in her House for several weeks
past - That last Monday about Eleven oClock at night
Informant and the deceased and one Peter and a Blackman were in
the Lower Room of her House when Informant
heard the Report of a Gun - That she went to the
Door And saw Mr Davis come to his One pair of Stairs
window with either a Gun or a Pistol in his Hand
That she heard a Report soon afterwards but from
He Fright she was in can't till whether it was the
Report of a gun or Pistol - That this was the
only Firing she heard after the Door was open
That she was then standing on the Threshold of her
Door - That Clifton the last witness was standing
without the Door And the deceased was standing
along side this Informant - That on this Informant
turning round she sawInfthe deceased lying on the
Floor - That Davis came running over immediately
and said "Oh have I taken away a Man's life that
never injured me" and expressed great Sorrow
