Peter Anson< no role > a Lodger at Mr Angus's
Saith That last Monday Night a little after
Eleven Informant and Mrs. Angus, Her Sister
the deceased and a [..] Black were in Mrs Angus's
Ground Floor - That he heard the Report of a Gun
or a Pistol - That either Clifton or Mrs Angus
immediately opened the Door - That they went
to the Door and Informant went there also and looked
between them and saw on Davisstandingcoming with
Gun or a Pistolsomething in his Hand [..] to his window - That something
struck him in his mind and he went back to the
Fire Place, and by that time Informant heard the
Report of a Gun or Pistol - That he immediately
saw the deceased stagger and clap his Hand to his Head then fall Backwards
but never spoke - That he heard but Two Reports
in all and one of these two was that which he heard
before the Door was open - That Mrs Angus's
Sister cried out Murder - That Davis then
came over and took hold of the deceased and said Lord
have I killed this innocent Man" - That he did not
say any King to Clifton that Informant heard
That he knows of no Quarrell between Davis and
Clifton nor ever heard any words pass between them
