Who being upon Oath saith that last Tuesday morning was
sewnight about 5 o Clock one Thomas Davidson< no role >
a Labourer
late of
Old Brentford
and another Man whom he believes is by Trade
a Whitesmith
came into this Informants House at Brentford
aforesd.
staid about three Quarter of an hour had some Purl and went
away, leasing with him a Basket, which was tied and sewed
up to take Care of till they called again for it - That about
half past 4 o Clock last Wednesday morning he went into his
Cellar where he had put said Basket and having lifted it
up, he felt Something rattle in it like Iron - that he cut
said Basket open to see what was in it when he found the
large Gimblet and Steel now produced together with other Tools
therein - that last Wednesday Night about 7 oClock said Thomas

came again into this Informants House leasing the
other Man at the outside Door - that they had each a Glass
of Gin and said Davidson asked for his Basket - that this
Informant delivered said Basket to him, when he requested some
Matches - that this Informant observed to him that Matches were
seldom used by him, but that he would get him some and
accordingly went up into his one pair of Stairs Room and brought
