This Informant upon his Oath saith that he
is a Watchman
for that part of Holborn Hill
and Union Court
which is in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn
in the City of
London
that at a little after four of the Clockofin the Morning
of Sunday the Fifth day of February instant he was called
by Richard Wear< no role >
a Watchman
to his Assistance at the House
of Isabella Chapman< no role >
in Union Court
aforesaid the said Richard
Wear having found it to have been broke open this Informt.
stopt at the door of the House in order to prevent any person from
coming out whilst the said Richard Wear went in to search
during such time Mr. Chapman called out at her Window
and bid them mind the next House for that they meaning
the person or persons who had broke her House open were got there
this Informant than called the other Watchman Richd. Wear and
they in Company with Edwd. Mason< no role >
a Lodger at Mrs. Chapmans
went to the next House where the Prisoner Henry Thompson< no role >
was taken this Informant was then looking about the Yard and
one Mary Ludlow< no role >
a lodger in the House desired this Informt.
to look in the Necessary which he did and there found the
other Prisoner Thomas Harris< no role >
who pretended to be a Sleep
This Informant then brought him out and he was taken to
the Watch House with the other Prisoner Henry Thompson< no role >
