of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
in
and for the said County City and Liberty
this 16th. day of February 1786

Who being upon Oath Saith That on the twenty fourth
day of January last he this Informant was walking backwards
and forwards in Saint James's Park
to see the King go to
the Parliament house, when a person unknown to this
Informant addressed him and had a Conversation with him
respecting the County when he this Informant came from
and asked this Informant to go with him and drink together
and this Informant Saith he went with the said person
unknown to a House in Hedge Lane
in the Parish of
Saint Martin in the fields
in the Liberty of Westminster
in the
said County - when they had got there the said person
unknown and this Informant had some Dinner - After
Dinner was over one William Lycett< no role >
one of the persons
now present came in and said to the said person unknown
he had got a part of his money and flung down a Bank Note
for Fifteen pounds and Fifteen Guineas on the Table and
said he should have the rest the next week - And
this Informant saith the said Person unknown told this
Informant that the said William Lycett< no role >
the person now
present was Sir
James Esdaile< no role >
's Clerk - Presently after
one John Jenkins< no role >
the other person now present came into
the same house and said he had got a great deal of Money,
and would give them a Shilling a piece if they would all
shew five Guineas a piece - And this Informant Saith
