Middlesex to wit.


The Information of William Tucker< no role > , Thomas Harwood< no role >
and Charles Sears< no role > taken before me this 17th. Day
of August 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said William Tucker< no role > says
that this Afternoon between 3 & 4 o'Clock, as this Informant was
passing by the New Church in the Strand , with a small deal Box,
and a Parcel now produced containing three grose of Thimbles on
his Head, (and which Parcel this Informant had fast hold of by the
string that tied it) a Person now present who calls himself William
Smith
< no role > came behind him, snatched the said Parcel by force from
him and ran away with it. And the said Thomas Harwood< no role >
says that being in his Shop at this time and after seeing said
William Tucker< no role > go first with the Box and Parcel on his head,
he heard the cry of "Stop Thief"and upon his Running out,
saw said William Smith< no role > drop said Parcel and run up
Little Drury Lane . And the said Charles Sears says that
he was passing by at this time and saw the Parcel lying
at the corner of Little Drury Lane , which Parcel he picked
up, and is the same new produced.
