The Information of Mary the Wife of Alexander
Witting< no role > of Long Acre and Thomas Smith< no role > of
the same place Victualler taken before me
this 17th day of June 1784

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Mary
Witting says that the Curtains now produced her property and
were this day about 12 oClock stolen from off the Stair Case
of these Informants Lodgings in Long Acre aforesiad
And the said Thomas Smith< no role > says that a little after 12 o'Clock
this day he apprehended a person now [..] present who
calls herself Elizabeth Knox< no role > in the Passage leading to
the Stairs of the Lodging of the said Mary Witting with
the said Curtains concealed in her Apron
