deposes That being in Bed on Friday Morng. last
the 5th. of this Inst. Marth, was called up by Josh.
Branch between 2 & 3 o ClockJosh. Branch
desired the Witness Edwd. Trumper to get up for Walker had
killed his Wifeon which the Witness got up & went
to the HouseI found the Deceased sitting in a Chair
Supported by a Woman named Ann Priest< no role > She was
not dead thenthe Witness Said "Walker what have
you done, you have killed your Wife"Walker said
"She deserved it, She had used me ill & I am not Sorry
for it and now I Shall be hanged but don't mind That
[..] Walker was looking after Something, one of
the Woman pick'd up a large Pocket knife bloody
& was going to wipe itthe Witness took the Knife away
that it & put it in his Pocketthe Witness went home
(leaving three men in the house) to get a horse to
said for a SurgeonOn [..] the witness Return her and she
