Harefield the 8th. Day of March 1784 touching
the Death of Ann the Wife of William Walker< no role > ,
then and there lying dead.

Joseph Branch< no role > of Harefield Laborer last
thursday night being the 6th. of for Instant about 9 oClock
the Deceased came & asked him to get up with her that
Night Saying if he came & set up with her, her Husband
would not middle with her-the man Walker was in
bed at home & She was fearful to go to bed to him
Joseph Branch< no role > told her if she wd. Set up a little
longer with him Branch-She replied he I have had
but little but one time & I chuse to go to Bed
the deceased asked her Husband if he was going to get up; he said no,
he went to Bed & layed till Some time Some
little time after She asked her Husband if he
wanted the Chamber Pot he her Husband answered
her No"They lay till for a Minute there was
a Sudden Outery from where they lay If the Evidence
Jumped up from the fire Place to the Stairs foot
the Deceased & her Husband fell on the Witness as he
was going up Stairs the Witness caught the Husband
by one of his Arms one which the Husband Stamped on the Deceased having a Knife in his (the Husband
right Hand-the Witness in trying to get it out of
the Husband's Hand, cut his own fingerthe deceased
got up & ran out of Doors immediately; as soon as She
ran out the Witness went to get Assistance
