The Information of Balchen Clare of Ludgate
Street in the City of London taken before me
this 30th. day of April 1784

Who being upon Oath says that about three o Clock
in the afternoon of Wednesday last as he was standing in Henrietta
Street a person whom he since hath been informed is Daniel
Pulteney< no role > Esqr . of Saint James's Square called to this Informant
and pointed out to him a person now present who calls
himself John Westland< no role > whom he said had picked his Pocket
of his Purse and MoneyThat he this Informant seized
hold of said John Westland< no role > and saw a mixture coloured
ribbon Purse in his Hand
