The Information of Edward Lycett< no role > of No 9 Round Court
Saint Martin le Grand Working Silversmith and
Robert Mulcaster< no role > of Saint Martin le Grand
Constable taken before me this 29th.. day of Janry
1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Edward Lycett< no role > says that
having missed a considerable Quantity of Silver in his Trade of late
and suspecting that some of his Journeymen had robbed him of the same
it induced this Informant to get some Bridges of Silver (amounting
to 21 in number) cast last Night in a particular manner. That
before this Informant went to bed last night, he laid out the said
21 Bridges of Silver in his Kitchen in order for the Workman
to take when they came to Work this Morning. That a little before
9 o'Clock this Morning, (having previously missed in the Shop some of
the said Bridges of Silver) he determined to search every Journeyman
as he came down, in order to go to his Breaxfast. That he
searched one Bayley who first came down, upon whom nothing
was found. That presently after John Bayliss< no role > now present came
down, without being sent for and without finishing the Work
which this Informant had given him to do. That upon this Informant
telling him of his Intention to Search every Journeyman, the
said Bayliss attempted to run upstairs, when Informant followed
him, catched hold of his Coat, brought him down to the Parlour
door, when, said Bayliss attempted to go towards the Street
door. That Informant laid hold of him and brought him
into the Parlour, where, this Informant delivered him to the
said Robert Mulcaster< no role > to be searched-to whom in Informant's
presence, the said Bayliss delivered to the said Robert Muleaster,
the [..] Bridges of Silver and Sixpieces of Bridges of
Silver now produced. And the said Robert Mulcaster< no role > says that
