Who being on Oath say and first the said Elizabeth
Farmer
< no role > for herself Sayeth that this Evening between
Six and seven oClock as she was walking with her
Nephew Thomas John Griffith< no role > on the Footpath Whitechapel
Road side near the Workhouse A man dressed like the
Prisoner and by the side of his Face she believes
to be the Man who overtook and hit her a Blow of
the Head and took away her Bonnet with a Silver
pin now Produced that as soon as she recovered herself she called out Stop thief
Thomas John Griffith for himself sayth that
as he was walking along side his Aunt this Evening
between the Hours of Six and Sevenand Eighthe saw the
Prisoner who says his Name is James Burn< no role >
Hit his Aunt on the Head and take her Bonnett
the same now produced and run away with it
Thomas Dallman< no role > for himself Sayth That this
Evening between the Hours of Six and Seven
as he was going along Haydens Yardabovewhich
adjoins Whitechapel theWork house he heard a Cry of Stop thief
and hearing a mansfoot as running toward him her
Turned about and Stop'd the Prisoner with the
said Bonnet
