The Information of Charles Lotillier Simor< no role > , Charles
Lotillier
< no role > Junier and Archibald Cockburn< no role > taken
before me this 20th.. day of December 1783.

Who on this Oath say and first the said Charles Letillier senior says
that on Saturday evening last about 7o'Clock he sent his said
Son with a Guinea to the House of the said Archibald Cockburn< no role >
the Fountain in Little Catharine Street to get Change for it And
the said Charles Letillier junior says that he accordingly went
to the said Mr Cockburn's to get Change but which Mr. Cockburn
did not give. That when this Informant asked Mr Cockburnat
the Question at his Bar, this Informant observed two Persons
now present who call themselves George Melton< no role > and Thomas
Jones
< no role > with three other Lads standing near the Bar. That
after this Informant had got about three or four Yards
from the said Archibald Cockburns House the said George
Melton
< no role > laid hold of this Informant put his hand before his
Mouth and held him fast whilst the said Thomas
Jones
< no role > took out of his hand a Guinea and both ran
away but were afterwards securedAnd the said
Archibald Cockburn< no role > says that the said George Melton< no role >
and Thomas Jones< no role > with three others were standing at
this Informants Bar when the said Charles Letillier< no role >
Junr. asked for Change of a Guinea and asked for
Purl which this Informant refused to let them have
and on said Charles Letilliers going [..] out they immediately
followed him
