Who being on Oath severally say, and first the said
Benjamin Bawlins< no role >
for himself saith, that on Friday Evening
last about five o Clock he this Informant went to the Shop of
Messr: Wormsley in Chaple Street in the Parish of Saint
Margaret Westminster
wherein he saw a Person now present
who calls himself John Smith< no role >
and of whom this Informant
purchased Goods to the Amount of Three Pounds nine shillings
and six pence That amongst other Money which this
Informant paid said John Smith< no role >
for said Goods were
the Half Crown and Shilling now produced by the said Joseph
Niblow< no role >
and which said Half Crown and Shilling this Informant
saw the said John Smith< no role >
put into the Till in a Counter in the
Shop of the said Messrs: Wormshys. And the said Elizth. Lindes
for herself says that on the said Friday Evening about the
same time She this Informant went to the Shop of Messrs:
Wormsley
aforesaid where She Bought Goods of the said John
Smith< no role >
to the amount of Three pounds seven shillings. which
Sum this Inforamnt paid said John Smith< no role >
and saw him
put the same into the aforesaid Till and this Informant further
says She is very sure that an Half Crown now produced by the
said Joseph Niblow< no role >
was amongst the Money which she so paid
to the said John Smith< no role >
And the said Joseph Niblow< no role >
for him
self says that he is a Constable and on being sent for on Friday
Evening last to the Shop of the said Messrs: Wormsley to take Charge
of the said John Smith< no role >
for Stealing said Money he this Informant
searched said John Smith< no role >
and in his right hand Breeches Pocket found
