and when she returned found some persons had procured a Door
laid the said Johnson on the same and in that maner
Conveyed him to the London Infirmary . And further this
Informant Saith not. And this Informant William Dymprey< no role >
for himself Saith that the said Thomas Johnson< no role > came to his
house last night about half past nine OClock and called for a Glass of
Gin and told him the person who had been drinking with
him all the afternoon (meaning the said John Clark< no role > ) had called
him out of the Hoop and Bunch of Grapes and had Stabber
him (with a Knife) in his Belly at the door. That Informant
Served him with a Glass of Gin and fewing he might not be
able to get to him Apartment himself Sent his Coy with him
That Informant went afterwards himself to [..] the
Apartments of Johnson where he saw the prisoner Clarke
the other Informant Mary Ann Goodman< no role > . and said Johnson
who was lying on his Back. That Informant asked Clarke
know Johnson was who replied and said he believed he
had sit his Naval Strings. Lastly Saith that the said
[..] Johnson after Informant had Served him with the Gin as
aforesaid he pulled up his Apron and Shew him the place
where he was Wounded which was in the Belly. And further
this Informant Saith not
And this Informant Benjamin Sayer< no role > for himself Saith
that the prisoner Clarke came to his house about half Past
Nine O'Clock last night and told Informant he had Killed
as Man but percerving him to be drink and Knowing
him to be a Crazy Kind of Man did not pay That attention
to him he otherwise would have done, but perceiving a
Knife in his hand Informant asked him what man
when and for what reason he had Killed himHe told
Informant That it was Johnson (who this Informant well
Knew was new Intimate with Clarke). that he had Stabbed
him in the Belly at the door of the Hoop and Bunch of
Grapes in Ratcliff Highway and that he had no other
reason but seeing him Jump out either of the door or Window when
he broke open the door and therefore suspected his Wife in
him had been Intimate and as he had Killed him he was
now Willing to resign himself to Informant who further
Saith not
