The Information of Robert Eggleston< no role > and Samuel Yardley< no role >
taken on Oath before me one of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex the 7th day of November
1783.

[..] Robert Eggleston< no role > on his Oath Saith That he hath an Appartment as a Lodger
in Thrale Street in the Parish of Christ Church in the said County,
of Middlesex the said House belonging to Leah Freeman< no role > Widow and that only himself and his wife resides therein
and that he and his wife both work for Mr. Merzo a Master.
Silk throwster in Mason Court Brick lane in the Parish of White
Chapel And further Saith [..] that this Morning about
Nine o Clock he went from list Lodging to his work and his wife then being
at her Business he locked the Door as he usually had done
and left every thing safe in his Room, That about half an
hour past Twelve O'Clock that when his wife and himself
came home to dinner they found the door on the Latch but
unlocked, the drawers in the room open and the following
thing stolen thereout (vizt.) One Silk stuff Gound, One flowered
Cotton Gound, One flowered Linnen Gown, One pair of Stays, One
Scarlet Cloke, Two White Aprons,threetwo Black Silk Handkerchiefs
one other Silk Handkerchief, three pair of Sleeves, five White Handkerchief.
and sundry other things the property of the aid Robert Eggleston< no role >
And further Saith, That one Scarlet Cloak, One Flowered Cotton
Gown, One Silk and Stuff Gown and one sheet now produced
is part of the property as above mentioned to have been stolen
and is the property of him the said Robert Eggleston< no role > .

This Informant Samuel Yardley< no role > Saith That this day about noon
as he was going up Kings land read in the Parish of [..]
Saint Leonard Shoreditch he saw Sarah Slade< no role > This name instance is in set 1355. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . and Mary Wood< no role > This name instance is in set 1356. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . the prisoners now under Examination
Walking along together the said Sarah Slade< no role > This name instance is in set 1355. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . then having a
Bundle in her Apron And that he knowing them to be suspicions
people asked the said Sarah what She had in her lap she told this
Examinant it was her own property, he them asked Mary Wood< no role > This name instance is in set 1356. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . if
she Knew it to be her daughters property she said that it was and
that they was removing from the other End of the Town to Kingsland
road to live, This Informant stile being doubtfull that they did not
come honestly by it brought them to the Public Office in Worship
Street Shoreditch and upon inquiry found that the said Bundle
Containing the said Scarlet Cloak< no role > , One Flowered Cotton Gown, One
Silk and [..] Stuff Gown and one sheet do belong to the said
Robert Eggleston< no role > as by his Information sets fully.
