taken before me this 11th,,
day of November 1783.
Who on their Oath say and first the said John Prince< no role >
says that last Evening
about 5 o'Clock as this Informant was on his Duty at Holloway a Person
now present who calls himself Robert Cross< no role >
came by him on horn back,
pursued by Robert Mead< no role >
now present with the cry of "Stop Thief"
That this Informant joined in the Pursuit and assisted in Souring
him and found on his person the three Watches [..] four gold
Seals eight Guineas and half and one of the Pistols now
produced And the said William Scott< no role >
says that he joined
in the pursuit and assisted in securing said Cross. and in his
right Hand, found the other pistol now produced. And the said
Thomas Brown< no role >
says that us the said Robert Cross< no role >
was coming
down Highgate Hill
purued by the said Mead, this Informant.
went into the middle of the Road to endeavour to stop him, when
said Cross fired a Pistol at this Informant as he passed, and
this Informant fired at him again. And the said Thomas
Fisher< no role >
says that the three Watches, four gold Seals right Guineas
and half two Pistols and a Purse now produced, are the same
which were delivered to this Informant last Evening byMr. Wm.
