The Information of John Batty< no role > a Mariner
belonging to the Ship Jane & Mary now lying on
Fletchers Ways in the River Thomas in the said County

Who being on Oath Saith that between the Hours
of Ten and Eleven O'Clock on Saturday night last he had
been Eaung himself in Fawdon Fields in the Parish of
Saint George in the County aforesaid and that at the time
he was Buttoning up his Breeches Two persons now here
present and who call themselves Robert Steward< no role > and [..]
Thomas Sutton< no role > came up to him and asked him what he was
doing these to which he replied you see what I have been doing
Whereupon said Sutton addressed himself to this Informant
in the following manner Viz" None of your I am I will take
your Life you Buggar". and immediately took up a half Brick
thaw at him and knocked him down. and feloniously took
from him his Shoes and Buckles. A Tobacco Box Cork Screw
Knife in Key and Comb a Brush which being now here
produced he declares to be his property. That the said
Thomas Sutton< no role > also took from him One Silver Six pence and
One half penny and one farthing an Money [..]
[..] That the said RobertSuttonStewart was Standing
Over him during all the time aforesaid Aiding Abetting and
Assisting him the said Robert Stewart< no role > in Committing
the said Felony and Robbery and that he also feloniously
took his Hat from her head as he lay on the Ground. That
after he got on his Legs he requested So have his Hat
restored when Sutton said your Bugger I will have your
Life if you follow us. And this Informant lastly Saith
that he is positive as to the said Robert Stewart< no role > and Thomas
[..] Sutton being the two persons who feloniously Assaulted
him put him in Bodily fear and danger of his life and
Robbed him as before mentioned
