The Information of Mary Wife of James
Sexton
< no role > of the Parish of Saint Giles in the
Fields taken upon Oath this 29th day of
July 1783 before me David Walker< no role > Esquire
One of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County

Who being upon Oath says that on Tuesday the 15th. instant
about 10 oClock in the Evening she was coming up Witch Street
[..] with a bundle containing eleven Pair of Worsted Stockings
under her Arm when she was met by a Woman (whose
Name since appear to be Margaret (Ann Smith< no role > Alias Gibbs)
who after giving her a very violent blow on the side threw her
down and instantly forced the said Bundle from her. That she
then put her hand in Informants Right hand Pocket out of
which she took Seven pound in Monies and then made
of And further this Informant says that the bundle of
Stockings now Produced are the same which was Feloniously
Stolen from her as aforesaid and which said bundle of
Stockings is the Property of James Sexton< no role > her husband
