Middlesex to wit

The Informant of Philip Welden< no role > Nathaniel Barber< no role >
Jane Teploe< no role > [..] and Robert
Harrison
< no role > -taken before me this 9th: day of
May 1783.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Philip Weldon< no role > says that
on Monday Evening last about 9 o'Clock as this Informant was
passing a long Newcastle Row Lincolns Inn Fields, he observed
a Shabby Looking Man standing near the Pallisadoes of Mr.
Harrisons house which caused in him Suspicion That upon
seeing a second Man standing a little below said House and
suspecting they intended to rob it, he went up towards
the House, in order to alarm the Servants (at which time
one of the Parlour Windows was up) when a Person now
present who calls himself George Adams< no role > jumped out at
said Window upon the Area Steps, and whom (after some
difficulty) this Informed secured. That when said Adams
was secured he dropped two Glasses of an Ink stand, and at
the same time threw something down into the Area which,
by the sound appeared to be Plate, And the said Nathaniel
Barber
< no role > says that he was passing by at this time & assisted
Mr. Weldon in Securing said Adams, and after taking him
into the Parlour of Mr. Harrison's house he observed him
drop the Silver Table Spoon now produced. And the said
Jane Popler< no role > says that she is a Servant to said Mr: Harrison
That after said Adams was brought into her Master's house
she found the Inkstand now produced in her Master's Area..
That the Knife case containing the silver Spoons and Knives and
Forms new produced, was removed from the Sideboard in the
Parlour, to the Window Seat in said Room and a Bundle
