Who being on their Oaths say And first the said
Elizabeth Marridge< no role >
for herself saith That this
Morning about ten o'Clock there was Stolen from
out of the House of her Husband the said John Marridge< no role >
in Chapel Street
Mile End new Town
aforesaid in
the said County two Linen Shirts and one Shift
which were folded up and lying on an Ironing
Board in the Fore Parlour of said House and that
the two Shirts and the Shift now produced are the
property of her said Husband and the same that
were Stolen as aforesaid
This Informant Mary Pressbury for herself saith That
This Morning about ten o'Clock she saw the person
now present who says his name is John Owen< no role >
come out
of the House of the said John Marridge< no role >
with a Bundle
of Linen under his Arm and suspecting he had stole
it she knocked at the Door which was open and
Alarmed the [..] Family.
And this Informant Elizabeth Oliphant< no role >
for herself
saith that this Morning being in well Street
in the
said Hamlet and hearing a Cry of Stop Thief
and seeing the said John Owen< no role >
Running and a
Number of Persons after him she Stopped him
when he immediately threw down the Shirts and
Shift now produced.
