The Information of John Thorne< no role > of the Road side White
Chapel in the said County Victualler and John Lumb< no role >
of Grey hound Lane White Chapel Carpenter taken
this 17th day of February 1783

Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Thorne< no role > for himself
on his Oath saith that on Saturday Evening last there
was feloniously taken and carried away from and out
of his Wash House on the Road side in the parish of
Saint Mary White Chapel in the said County between the
Hours of Seven and Eight o'Clockin the Evening and
the
a large Copper and that the Copper now produced
is the property of him this Informant

And this Informant John Lumb for himself saith That
he is a Neighbour of the said John Thorne< no role > and
hearing that the said John Thorne< no role > had been Robbed
of a Copper he this Informant together with one
John Burnell< no role > [..] went down a place called
Thomas's Street in the said Parish of Saint Mary
White
< no role > Chapel and there saw a Man with
Copper on his Head who on finding he was pursued
let fall the said Copper and attempted to run away
saith that he this Informant and the said John
Burnell
< no role > apprehended the said Person who
is now present and says his Name is John Grew< no role >
and that the Copper now by him this Informant
produced is the same Copper that the said John
Grew
< no role > was carrying away as aforesaid.
