Middlesex to wit

The Information of Susannah Banks< no role > of Ponders
End in the Parish of Enfield in the County of
Middlesex Spinster taken and made on Oath before
me one of his Majesty's Justices of the peace in and
for the said County of Middlesex the 24th. day of
September 1781.

This Informant on her Oath saith that on Monday the
26th. day of February last she was hired as a yearly
Servant to Mr. Tribble at the Bull in the Pound in the Spa
Fields near Bagnigge Wells in the said County, and lived
there under that hiring from the 28th. of February which
was Ask. Wednesday, for three Months. That on a
Monday which this Informant believes was the 8th.
of May last she having at that time served about two
Months and a fortnight, she was ordered by her Mistress
Mrs. Tribble to sit up for the coming Home of William
Tribble< no role > her Masters Son who was then gone out to
spend the Evening. That her Master and Mistress and
the rest of the Family went to Bed between [..]
ten and eleven o' Clock and this Informant sat up till
between two and three o'Clock the [..] next Morning which
was Tuesday when the said William Tribble< no role > came home
and this Informant let him in. That this Informant
then lighted a Candle for the said William Tribble< no role > toto go
light himself to bed with, which he immediately blew out
with his Month and caught hold of this Informant round
the Waist and pulled her down into a Chair which was in
the Kitchen and told this Informant he would know what
she was. That she requested him to let her alone and he
said, he would be dowmed if he did, and then forced his
Hands up her Petticoats, took hold of her private part
and ill treated her very much, whereupon this Informant
cried out, and then he let her alone. That this Informant
then lighted another Candle and went up Stairs with it
