Middlesex to wit


The Information of Frederick Bossy< no role > , John Mitchell< no role > ,
and David Miles< no role > taken before me this 8th. day of
May 1781.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Frederick Bossy< no role > for
himself says that this Evening about six o'Clock as he was going
in thro' the Passage of the Opera House leading to the Stairs, he
perceived two Persons now present who call themselves Bennett
Harbourne
< no role > and Henry Hastam close to him and pressing upon
him very much that after pressing upon him some time they
both drew backand soon [..] which induced this Informant
to suspect that they had picked his pocket, whereupon
he put his hand to his Job and perceived that his Watch
was gone. Says that the Watch now produced is his
Watch and was feloniously stolen from him at this time
and further says he doth verily believe that the said
Bennett Harbourne and Henry Haslam< no role > feloniously
picked his pocket of his said Watch. And the said John
Mitchell
< no role > says that he was present at the Opera House
door at this time and saw the said Bennett Harbourne
taken into custody; and as the Peace Officer was taken
him in at the entrance of the Door, he observed the Watch
now produced drop on a Lady's foot who stood close
to the said Bennett Harbourne when it dropped; and
does very believe that said Bennett Harbourne dropped
it; and further says that he picked the said Watch
up and delivered it to said David Miles< no role > , [..]
or Peter Gough< no role > another Peace Officer And
