Taken on Oath Before me Joseph
Girdler
< no role > Esqr One of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
this 7th. Day of February 1775

This Informant upon this Oath saith
that the had been to a Butchers in White
cross Street in the Parish of St. Luke in
the County of Middlesex on the 6th. Day
of this Instant February about five
O Clock in the Afternoon and on His
return to his House in Whitecross Street
aforesaid One Thomas Lumley< no role > did
feloniously Take & carry away from
his Person privily without his knowledge
One Red & White Linnen Handkerchief
his Property upon Which the followed the
said Thomas Lumley< no role > Who ran away with
the said Handkerchief & found it upon
him.
