The Information of Samuel Bovingdon< no role >
taken before Ux three of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the said
County

Who being upon Oath saith that he is one of
the Watchmen of the Parish of Saint Mary
Lets one that being upon his Duty as Watchman
in Mortimer Street in the said Parish at three
o Clock on Monday Morning last at about twenty
Yards distants from him this Informant saw
ThreeMenpersons now present who call themselves
John Dale< no role > Robert Street< no role > and John Smith< no role >
and he perceived that Robert Street< no role > had a Seal
upon his Back upon which this Informant went
up and stop't the said three persons and upon
looking at the Bag [..] saw something at the
and of it upon which he rang his Hattle and
one of his Brother Watchmen Thomas Darby< no role >
came up to him this Informant took Smith
into Custody and Derby took the said Street
Dale abused this Informant & Darly for taking
them into Custody and afterwards offered them
a pot of Beer or Sixpence to let them go this
Informant told him they would not be Boiled
that in Conveying the said Robt Street & Smith
to the Watch house Street said if he must go
there he would not carry it (meaning the Load
upon his Back) any further he then set it down
and one Mr. Clue another Watchman took it
up and Carried it to the Watch house says that
when they came to the Watch house the [..]
Engine [..] now produced was taken upon the
person of the said Robert Street< no role > , when
