The Information of Peter Bussley< no role >
Daniel Beales< no role > - & Jonathan Newman< no role >
taken before me one of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the said
County

Who being severally upon Oath say and first
this Informant Peter Bussley [..] for himself saith
that between two & three o Clock last night he was
picked up by a person now present who calls herself
Ann Avis who took him to a Cellar in Saint Giles
in which there was a Parcel of Straw that he had
in his Pockets at the time he went into the said
Cellar a Watch Two half Crown pieces and about
Seven Shillings in other Silver and a Linen Handkerchief
and saith that he put his Watch & the above money
into his Waistcoat pocket by way of receivingthem
it that in about a quarter of an hour he felt the
hand of the said Ann Avis< no role > in his Waistcoat pocket
upon which he put his own hand into his pocket
and found that his Watch the said Moneygoneand
Handkerchief gone this Informant the charged
her with having Robbed him and upon searching the
pocket of the said him Avis he took there out
Six Shillings but the Watch was not there nor
his Handkerchief so that there was Missing Two
half Crown piece one Shilling & the Handkerchief
andthe Watch he found concealed in the Straw off
that side of the Cellar on which she was upon which
this Informant called the Watch and the other
Informant came & took her in charge

And this Informant Jonathan Newman< no role > for himself
saith that he is a Watchman of the parish of Saint
Giles that he took Ann Avis in Charge between
Two & three o Clock last night and conducted her to
the Watchouse where she denied that she had
any Money but the other Informants Daniel Beale< no role >
