John Mahon< no role > , Labourer , who lodges at Mr. Merryman's in
Church Lane St. field's on his Oath saith that he has lodged
there two Years or thereabout, on the Ground Floor backwards
adjoining to the Deceds Room, that on Sunday the Ninth day
of October Instant about nine or ten o'Clock at Night, he was in
his Room Drinking with some Friends, and the Deceds Husband
Thomas Plunket< no role > came into his Room and staid and drank with
the Deponent and his Friends for about ten or a dozen Minutes
the Deponent then heard a Noise of Groaning in the Deceds Room
he went into the Deceds Room and saw her sitting on the Floor
Deced said her Bones were broke, Deponent felt her side to
which she pointed and he thought her Ribs were broke, and
he wrapped a Table Cloth round her Body, and put her into
Bed, Deponent says she appeared to him to be in Liquor
Deponent went then into his own Room and said Plunket You
have usedhisyour Wife Ill, he said I only gave her a shove
against the chest of Drawers Deponent said her Ribs are
broke and he replied I did not break them, Deponent says
he heard no noise in Plunket's Room before the Deceased's
Husband came into his Room.
