This Informant Joseph Scholfield upon his Oath
declareth and saith That Thomas Harrison< no role >
the Prisoner
applied to him at this Informant House in Gloucester Street
London
to accept a Draft for Eighteen Pounds and ten Shillings
payable in six Weeks in favour of John William Leo< no role >
the
other Prisoner and to induce this Informant to consent to
the same he Thomas Harrison< no role >
Proposed to this Informant
to draw on John William Leo a Draft of the like Value to
which (after much Persuasion on the Part of the said John
William Leo) the said Thomas Harrison< no role >
and this Informant
consented It was then suggested by the said Leo that the
Draft drawn by Harrison and accepted by this Informant
should be dated at Colchester to give it a Credit that it would
not have if dated in London to which (with much Persuasion)
he this Informant consented And this Informant further
saith that the Draft now Produced to him and which is in
the Words and Figures following
Colchester the 24th. September 1772
