Silversmith serve Time and in the Presence of this Informant Tender'd
in Payment to the Silversmith a Note of Thomas Harrison< no role > 's but for how
much this Informant Cannot tell Leo pressed the Man very much to
tak [..] Bill He said it was a Good Bill and would be paid
when due or else he would not have taken it himself, But the
Silversmith said He was Ordered by his Master take nothing
but Cash or a Bank Note and then took away his Goods and Went
out of the House upon Which Hollo way Came down Stairs
and Swore at Leo telling him He was so Damn'd asFoolIdcot
that if He Remin'd ever so long in that house or any other, He
would never do any Business, Declaring He had Listned at the
Window and heard the Silversmith say to the Man Who Came with
him, that he should have been a Fool indeed if He had been flung
by such a Fellow (meaning Leo) And this Informant further Saith
that He did Lodge about the Space of Three Weeks or there abouts in
Buckingham Street during Which Time Several Tradesemen did
bring Goods to the said House but on being Offer'd Payment
with such Notes did not have them and this Informant further
Saith that the Twenty seventh day of September about Two
or Three O' Clock in the Afternoon Mr. Holloway Came into the
little Parlour or Office and Tols this Informant that Mr. Leo had
told him that during the Space of last Week this Informant had
not given due Attendance and in Particular at the Door to
Answer to such Tradesemen and People as Came to them (meaning
Leo and himself) but let Mr. Nichols or his Maid stand Porter for
Us at the sam Time telling this Informant that on the Morning
a Gentleman would Come on particular Business and bring
To me Goods from a Silversmith and Desir'd this Informant not
to be out of the Way And this Informant further Saith on the
Twenty eighth day of September 1772 in the Morning about
Eleven or Twelve O'Clock of the Day a Gentleman whose Name
this Informant hath since learnt is Touling & Silversmith in
Dukes Court St. Martins Ask's for Mr. Leo with a Green
