Mary Ansley< no role > the widow of Wm. Ansley< no role > mariner
deced maketh oath that her said late husband has informed her &
which She belives to be true that her said husband was by birth a
Scotchman and this Deponent cannot Set forth or in any Wife
discover Whethr. he was ever an Apprentice or ever lived as a hired
Servant for a year or Whethr he ever rented a house of Ten pounds
a year or upwards or ever Served any parish office or ever paid
any poors Rates or Kings Taxes or ever did any act to gain a
Settlement in any part of England That She this Deponent before
her marriage with her said husband & while a Singlewomen
was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year by & with Peter
Duffey
< no role > near Gun Dock in the parish of St John Wapping in the sd.
County Victualler at Certain Wages & Continued in Such Service
for the Space of one year & nine months & by means thereof
gained a legal Settlement there And that She this Deponent Since
her sd husbands death hath not lived as a hired Servant for the
Space of a year or rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwards
or paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act (Save
as aforesaid) to gain a Settlement in her own right.

divers years ago She was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year
by & with William Barith< no role > in Ireland yard in the parish of Saint
Ann Black Fryars in the City of London Glass Frame makr at Certain
wages & Continued in Such Service for the Space of one year and
upwards & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there That
She has not Since lived elsewhere as a hired Servant for the Space of
a year nor hath She been ever married or done any act to her
knowledge or belief to gain another Settlement
