Christopher Walker< no role > maketh oath that divers years
ago his late father Leonard Walker< no role > deced rented a house of eight
pounds a year in Gun powder alley in the parish of Saint Olave
Hart Street in the City of London & was charged to and paid Kings
Taxes for the same & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement
there & that his said Father did not afterwards to this Deponents
knowledge or belief rent a house of Ten pounds a year or upwards
or Serve any Parish office or pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes
or do any Act to gain a Settlement elsewhere that this Deponent
lived with his Father in the said house as part of his Family That
he this Depont never was bound apprentice nor ever lived as a hired
Servant for a year or rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwds
nor ever Served any parish office or ever paid any poors Rates or
Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to gain a Settlement for himself

maketh oath that her Sd late husband in right of & as derivative
from his Father Thomas Nichols< no role > is legally Settled in the parish of
St Botolph without Aldgate in the sd County this Depont sd husband
to her knowledge or belief never having been an Apprentice or lived
as a hired Servant for a year or rented a house of Ten pounds a year
or upwards or Served any parish office or paid any Poors Rates
or Kings Taxes or done any Act to gain a Settlement for himself nor
hath She this Depont Since his death been married or lived as a
hired Servant for a year or done any Act to gain a Settlement for
herself & that She hath a child named William Nichols< no role > aged
about nine years & a quarter the lawfull Issue of this Deponent
by her said husband to whom She was lawfully married
