Nicholas Cook< no role > maketh oath that Several
years ago he rented a house in King Street in the parish of
Christ Church in the County of Middlesex & lived therein for
many years & during Such his Residence therein he was charged
to and paid Kings Taxes for the same That he has not Since rented
a house of Ten pounds a year or upwards or Served any Parish
office or paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act to
gain a Settlement elsewhere.

John Thompson< no role > deced was born in Maiden head Court in Old Street
in the parish of St Luke in the sd County as he has informed this Depont
& which he believes to be true That to this Deponts knowledge or belief
his said Father never lived as a hired Servant for a year nor was ever
bound apprentice nor ever rented a house of Ten pounds a year or
upwards nor ever Served any Parish office or ever paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to gain a Settlement in
his own right & this Deponent can give no other Account respecting
his Said Fathers Settlement That he this Deponent as he has been
informed by his sd Father & believes was born in Hartshorn Court
in Golden Lane in the Said parish of St Luke That he this Depont
never was bound Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired Servant for a
year nor ever rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwards
nor ever Served any parish office nor ever paid any Poors Rates
or Kings Taxes nor ever did any act to gain a Settlement in his own
right
