Elizabeth Jackman< no role > maketh oath that about
four years ago She was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the
year with one John Stevens< no role > in the parish of the Holy Trinity
in the Town of Guildford in the County of Surry Cyder Mercher
at Certain Wages & Continued in Such Service for the Space of
a year & upwards & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement
there that She has not Since lived as a hired Servant for a year
nor was She ever married nor hath She done any Act to
gain a Subsequent Settlement

The Voluntary Examination of Elizabeth
Jackman
< no role > of the parish of St Botolph without Aldgate in the
sd County Singlewoman taken on oath before me one of his
Majesties Justices of the peace in & for the sd County this
Fifteenth day of March 1777 who Saith That about two
months ago at the dwelling house of one John usher< no role > Situate
in Angel Court in the San parish of Saint Botolph without
Aligate aforesd She the sd Elizabeth Jackman< no role > was delivered of
a Male Bastard child since baptired by the name of Allen
Lambert
< no role > and that the said child is likely to be come chargeable
to the said parish of St Botolph without Aldgate And that one
Allen Lambert< no role > of the parish of Case horton near Croydon in
the County of Surry Millwright did get her with child of
the said Bastard child
