Hicks John to be paid
£10 Mr Locks Gift


Mr Deputy Rogers one of the Governors Reported
That in pursuance of an Order of Court of the 29th. day of
November last he made an enquiry and found that John Hicks< no role >
late Apprentice to Roger Owen< no role > was set up for himself and has
the Character of a Diligent and sober Man It is Ordered
that the Steward do pay the said John Hicks< no role > Ten Pounds
out of Mr. Lock's Gift to be allowed him in his next
account.

Stevens John Pemberton
to be paid £10 Mr. Fowkes
Gift


Mr. Richard Crowther< no role > one of the Governors Reported
That in pursuance of an Order of Court of the 29th. day of Novr.
last he had made an enquiry and found that John
Pemberton Stevens
< no role > late Apprentice to Thomas Whitaker< no role >
was set up for himself and has the Character of a diligent
and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Clerk do pay the
said John Pemberton< no role > Stevens Ten Pounds out of Mr.
Fowkes Gift to be allowed him in his next account.

Allan Thomas< no role > to be Inquired
after for Locks Gift


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Thomas
Allan
< no role > Citizen and Taylor setting forth that he served his
apprenticeship in this Hospital to Thomas Whitaker< no role > by
Indenture dated the 2d. September 1778 and by Order of
Court of the 30th. November 1785 was made free of this City
12th. September 1786 and is set up for himself in this
Hospital has received part of Mr. Fowkes and praying
part of Mr. Lock's Gift It is Ordered that it be referred
to Henry Cranke< no role > Esquire Auditor General The Revd. Mr.
Wight and the Revd. Mr. Bowen or any Two of them to
enquire whether the said Thomas Allam had set up for himself
in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein and report
their Opinion to this Court.

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Ryer Rogers< no role >
Citizen and Carver and Gilder Setting forth that he served his
apprenticeship in this Hospital to William Edward Lunn< no role > by
Indenture dated 25th. November 1779 and by Order of Court
of 30th November 1786 was made free of this City the 4th.
