Bethlem Hospital
Patients to be admitted in Fidua
without Cerficates in giving Securites
in double the Sum money acquind
Sum usually required on the admission of Patients producing
such Certificates it will remove the difficulty and tend to the ease
and advantage of such persons as resort for relief to the said
Hospital which is nevertheless submitted to the Judgment of the
Court.
This Court having duly weighed and considered the said
Representation and opinion doth concurr with the Committee
therein and Order the same Accordingly.
Treasurer Mr. to prepose
fresh Security his Sureties being

Mr Treasurer having acquainted the Court that the Two
Gentlemen given by him as Sureties on his appointment to that
Office were dead requested permission to be at liberty to propose
a fresh Security to and for the approbation of the House
Committee which is ordered accordingly -

Office of Steward when they
Nominate a Governor more
must be referred to the House

It appearing to this Court That by the Antient usage
of these Hospitals all Governors having served the Office of
Steward of these Hospitals making nominations of persons to be
Governors such nominations were referred to the House Committee
for their approbation but by an Order of Court dated 23rd June
1785 the mode of nominating Governors was altered and
restrained It is the Opinion of this Court that it was meant
and intended that such persons as should be nominated Governors
pursuant to the said Order should be subject to the antient usage
and their nominations referred to the House Committee as kontafore
which is Ordered accordingly to Commence and take Place from
and after the next General Court to be held for these
Hospitals

Mr. Deputy Rogers one of the Governors reported That
in pursuance of an Order of Court of the 29th day of November
last he made an enquiry and found that

late apprentice
to
William Wilby< no role >
was set up for himself and
has the Character of a diligent and sober Man It is Ordered
that the Steward do pay the said Josiah Bouring Ten Pounds
out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowed him in his next
account.
