To Thomas Hurford< no role > Gentleman High Constable
of that part of the Hundred of Ossulston called Finsbury
Division within the County of Middlesex .

Forasmuch as it is apprehended the Publick
Peace may be disturbed by certain evil disposed persons
assembling to morrow the Sixth day of this Present month
of June in a riotous and tumultious manner in and
about several parts and Places within your Division
and other parts of this County, These are in his
Majesty's Name to will and require you together
with all the Petty Constables Headboroughs and other officers and
Ministers of the peace within your Division (with their long Staves) to
be and appear at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the said County
on Tuesday the sixth day of this present month of June at the hour
of Nine in the forenoon of the same day to do what shall be then and
there required of you on the behalf of our Sovereign Lord the new King
for the Preservation of the Public Peace by his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for this County who shall be then and there assembled and have
you then there this precept Hereof fail not at your peril Given under
our hands and Seals this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord
One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty
