Examination TextAlice Macklin aged 39 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Andrew Holborn above the Bars in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith she is the wife of John Macklin (now or late a marriner on board his Majesty's ship the Princessa) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Martin in the Fields 14 years ago, that is a Barber and Peruke Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house the corner of Eagle Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three years at the yearly rent of 12 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same 10 years ago and never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes since, that she has one child by her said husband now living to wit Isabella aged about 12 years now with this Examinant. Sworn the 20th January 1749 before Daniel Gach.
