Examination Text | Sarah Tinney aged 48 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Morgan Tinney (who has been dead 24 years), that he was a Shoemaker by trade and lived in and rented an house in Rose Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 10 years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds the first year and 12 pounds for the remainder besides taxes and there died, and this Examinant hath never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together. Taken at the workhouse the 21st of September 1748. |
